System Overload is a light installation that explores the narrative of a digital system reaching its storage limits and undergoing a self-cleaning process.
The piece features a square frame illuminated with LEDs and a central downward-facing laser, creating a striking interplay of light and structure. The frame itself is 3D-printed, displaying both precision and customization in its design, and reinforcing the theme of digital fabrication. Through a progression from chaotic, overloaded lighting to a more orderly, refined display, the installation symbolizes the transition from digital saturation to system reset. The surrounding LEDs establish a controlled visual environment, while the laser’s precise beam draws focus to the core, emphasizing the moment of transformation.
