by Ho Rui An
Chronologies presents moving image works by Singapore-based artist and writer Ho Rui An, including the premiere of his new film, The World of Lines. The exhibition highlights how factory workers, filmmakers, students, and even ghosts act as agents of history and historiography. While the works reflect the long 20th century in China and East and Southeast Asia, they also evoke broader global crises, raising the question: who has the power to write history?
