The IMA Low Res is a 1-year Global Low Residency Master’s (MA) Program in Interactive Media Arts offered in partnership by NYU Shanghai and NYU Tisch. Thesis is a course taught in the latter half of the program, across both the Spring and Summer sessions, where students work individually to design and develop a project of their own choosing from concept to proof-of-concept usable prototype. The Thesis project encapsulates the IMA program by challenging students to identify an area of inquiry or personal interest and conduct practice-based research, skill-building and creative exploration resulting in an interactive project representing their insights. In this show, we welcome all visitors to actively participate with each of the works. Your participation is a means to both illuminate the thinking and creativity of the students as well as facilitate constructive conversations amongst us all. We also congratulate all of the Low Res students who will soon be members of the first-ever graduating cohort of the Master of Arts in Interactive Media Arts at NYU!
