In this artist talk, Ruijia will expand on her DURF project, which is currently exhibited at The IMA Gallery till September 24. Ruijia's research centered on exploring human-space interaction within the domain of kinetic facade design, emphasizing integrating traditional patterns to facilitate dynamic engagement between individuals and their surroundings. As the outcome of her research, the art installation contributes to the dialogue on the role of tradition in contemporary architecture to inspire designers to embrace traditional patterns as a source of creativity and cultural enrichment.
