Bogna Konior writes about digital culture, philosophy of technology, and new media, with a focus on how humanist conceptions of agency and causality are challenged by computation and environmental change. Her recent publications revolve around human extinction, technology and mysticism, computer simulations and climate change, technological determinism, and interspecies engineering. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Interactive Media Department and a Research Associate at the AI & Culture Research Centre at NYU Shanghai. She was previously a Lecturer in New Media and Digital Culture at the University of Amsterdam, a Research Fellow at the International Research Institute for Cultural Techniques and Media Philosophy at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and a visiting researcher in Media and Culture at the ICON Center for the Humanities at the University of Utrecht.
