In this course we will learn to use the tools of the Unity game engine to reconstruct sampled elements of our environment using. Students will investigate spaces by capturing audio, imagery, and spatial data from a site, then reconstruct the site by intentionally recombining these samples in Unity using spatial audio, imagery, and photogrammetry. We will begin by learning the basics of the Unity editor and different recording techniques. Then importing assets while learning about materials, lighting, and design techniques for creating a field reconstruction. And finally, considering different ways of presenting a field reconstruction by building for multiple screens, headsets, projections, or a combination of devices.
