Forest Utopia poster

Forest Utopia imagines a future where trees, birds, and rain have disappeared due to climate change and the destruction of the natural environment, leaving silence as a rare and precious memory. Through an interactive projection environment, the work invites visitors to step into a reconstructed dream of nature.

Standing at the projection, visitors find their shadows drifting among the trees, as if they have stepped inside the forest. In this environment, sound quietly reshapes the space. Voices stir the drifting of leaves; and in moments of stillness, rain returns. With a gentle gesture, a bird takes flight. The environment slowly transitions through a day-to-night cycle, gradually shifting from darkness to light and back again over time.

It offers an oasis for future humans, a space to remember the life of forests, to listen in quiet, and to cherish the fleeting presence of all living things.
