Creative and Critical Practices in Technology poster

As residents of the non-western world, we are no strangers to the bias and oversights of the evolving world of technology. How can we work towards developing creative practices that can channel technology and criticality? In this talk, Computational Mama will talk about her experience in Creative Coding and AI. She will introduce you to understand bias in generative AI image tools and her practice around care, coding, motherhood and AI, along with her process to uncover the blackbox of generative image AI tools and where we fit in in all of this.

Ambika Joshi also known as Computational Mama is an AI prompt crafter, Creative technologist, and designer currently working as a AI Product Evangelist and Community Manager at GOOEY.AI. She develops and facilitates beginner content and workshops for Generative AI and creative coding. She has been the recipient of the prestigious Processing Foundation Fellowship 2021, curated AIxDesign’s AI Playground program in 2022. She runs a creative technology studio called Ajaibghar. This year she has spoken at Bump Festival, Kotrijk Belguim June 2023 a speaker at Screenwalks, Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switerzerland and The Photographers’  Gallery UK, April 2023 and Distortion Series 2023: Talking to Robots, Geneva March 2023.
