Rui will be talking about AR-MR-XR, how it is posed to be the next paradigm shift in computing and in our lives. We'll also be looking at why it is now the time for it to happen and what super powers this technology can bring us.
Rui P.G. Pereira is a Creative and Technologist passionate about disembedding technology in peoples’ lives to make them better and happier. In the past Rui has led Innovation Labs at Theaters and Ad agencies, consulted with Google's thirsty clients on insight-driven innovation, rebuilt Classical Greek cities for Microsoft and collaborated with Meta's Reality Labs Research on envisioning future XR interactions. Rui just got awarded the Core77 2023 Interaction Winner and Notable Emergent Technologies Awards with the Tower of Faces AR Experience at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He is also an educator, teaching both in the US (at NYU ITP) and internationally, designed remote programs for NYU AR/VR Professional Certificate Programs, as well as, workshops and speaks regularly at Industry events.
