Wangyin, our ER Studio Operation Associate, is one of the key team members, ensuring the equipment room runs smoothly. Today’s interview shows her effort goes beyond just keeping things in order.
When did you start at IMA?
I joined IMA in Nov, 2021.
Could you tell us about what you do as an ER Operation Associate?
For sure! As a Studio Operation Associate, my daily work is to support the IMA equipment inventory. I ensure checkouts and returns are accurately recorded and that all equipment is prepped and available for our faculty and students.
What’s the hardest part of your work behind the scenes that others don’t usually notice?
Honestly, managing the Equipment Room is full of little details that require constant attention! We’re always tracking down missing items, making sure accessories get returned, and sometimes troubleshooting equipment issues. There are also last-minute requests to juggle with (laughs). But in the end, seeing students able to deliver their creative work makes it all worthwhile.
