Abstract
Hyperion™ Conqueror 3516 is a speculative installation artwork presented as a product display of a future robotic arm, including a product function display and accessory display. Hyperion™ is the brand name, while Conqueror 3516 is the name and model of the product. The Conqueror model robotic arm focuses on conquering nature and challenges. In addition to the conventional hand functions, the robotic arm also has telescopic functions and customized additional features. It can telescope to help grasp rocks at different distances and strengthen grip force. The Conqueror 3516 robotic arm also includes pop-up ice picks and safety rope buckles to meet a range of user needs.
By creating a speculative installation artwork in the format of a product release, the artist presents a future worldview where cyborgization has become fully popularized from an everyday perspective. Hyperion™ Conqueror 3516 brings a fantasy-bound vision of the future into physical reality and poses a decisive question to viewers: when the era of cyborgization arrives, will they be willing to ascend mechanically? When the future arrives, will they be ready to welcome it?
