An artwork representing a baby

Is life itself the ultimate game? Where are the boundaries between childhood and adulthood across the many identities we inhabit online and in real life?

“Baby by Design” is a multidisciplinary course that explores the phenomenon of societal infantilization and gamification through the lens of experimental design, media theory, and digital prototyping. We will collectively scroll through cultural shifts, new societal roles, and advances in AI. The class will unfold through a combination of theoretical readings and hands-on exercises, including playing video games and building them.
